Beta of Tidy Plates 6.12

As promised, the 6.10 Core would return, with further improvements, including "brute force positioning".

* Themes: More fixes for text issues.
* Widgets: Fixed the Class Icon widget. Finally. Added class-colored borders to each icon.
* Hub: Added a new checkbox to "Scale"; "Auto-Scale Mini Mobs", which will downscale those tiny guys, ironically making it easier to target.
* Hub: Added a new checkbox to "Unit Filter", "Override Target Scale", which will maintain the filtered scale of Targeted Mobs.
* Core: Added: unit.isMini = boolean. This will eventually replace "unit.platetype" and "unit.isTrivial". Not anytime soon, though.
* Quatre & Neon: Increased the text size by 1pt to reduce specific scaling concerns.

- Added a workaround/fix to the broken Blizzard function, InterfaceOptionsFrame_OpenToCategory. Slash command shortcuts for /hub and /tidyplates will now work properly.
- Added a Compatibility Mode checkbox to the interface panel. This will fall back to older anchoring methods.
- Core: The OnShow handler will skip all data gather on that first cycle; The Alpha data is (still) unreliable, causing GUID association issues.

I like the bottom left though the background on the bottom right's timeleft area looks better.

I'm not sure about the two with vertical bars. I guess if they were purposeful like sliding depending on timeleft that would be cool.

For practical purposes of stacking debuffs/buffs, yeah top or bottom left.
But they all look smoking cool. I kinda like the bottom right if there's no more than 3-4 debuffs. I'd use that if I was showing only my debuffs but top left if I was showing all debuffs on the target.

Thinking about ingame usefulness, I like the topleft best. Takes the least space while still looking very slick.

For the ZOMIGAWD factor, those sliders look sexy.

Whatever you like best, IMO. You really can't go wrong with any of those.

Exactly my thoughts.

I'm working with two scenario's; One, where you want to keep debuffs applied to enemies. And second, where you'd want to remove debuffs or buffs. I will concentrate on the first scenario at-first, since it'd be something useful to me, too.

Everyone; tell me what you think about these Photoshop mockups...

Showing auras above nameplates only on the target and on mouseover would probably be the simplest implementation without cluttering the screen or eating cpu cycles.

The harder part would be to implement some sort of filtering like just showing self buffs/debuffs and stuff you can decurse. I think what you want to avoid is to have the auras persist on all visible mobs, especially since they wouldn't update dynamically anyways. In fact that other mod has a few quirks because it tries to go beyond that.

Plus, looking through that addon, I noticed that LibNameplates LUA "borrows" more than a couple lines of Tidy Plates' code. I <3 flattery ;-)

Uh...didn't mean to discourage creative efforts here lol. Keep doing whatever you were doing And um if you ever need help with you know...something other than lines of squigglies and comas and numbers, like graphics and stuff, I'm happy to help.

lol - I hear ya. Never seems to be enough hours in the day...

I took a look at PlateBuffs, which I didn't know existed. Pretty neat stuff! I'd started an aura widget for Tidy Plates, which is still in development. This guy beat me to it..

Friendly Name Plate Class Colors

Is it possible to display the class color of friendly units ala <shift-v>?

Currently, when in raid, all friendly units have a plate color of purple.

There are times when someone might want to turn on friendly plates for easy identification of raid members on fights like Blood Queen for bites.
