Broker Everything  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 0.0.18
by: hungtar [More]

please accept my apology for abandoning this addon and not answering your support requests.

I don't play wow anymore and thus any request will remain unaswered.

When upgrading from 0.0.12 or earlier, your options will be reset! Sorry!

This is an AddOn with many Broker data displays. All displays feature tooltips and mouse click handlers (well, except for fps and latency). You will need a Broker Display!

Included data feeds:

  • zone text
  • durability
  • mail
  • calendar
  • bags
  • dual-spec
  • tracking
  • XP
  • gold
  • clock
  • location (coordinates)
  • FPS
  • latency
  • addon memory usage
  • friends
  • guild

If you don't want to see a data feed, configure your broker display to not show them or disable them with /be <name>. Use /be list to get a list of names and to see which data feeds are enabled or disabled. With /be labels labels on the data feeds can be toggled. Note: if starting the commands with /be does not work for you, use /broker_everything.

If you find any bugs or think something 'essential' (like as essential as a clock) is missing, please leave a comment.

Can you please try if the clock error still occurs in version 0.0.10? And can you please post the output of (just copy and paste it in the chat window):
Code:
/script print(date("%p"))
does that trigger an error too?

Still can't reproduce some displays disappearing in Fortress (well, besides clicking around in the configuration, e.g. checking and unchecking the "hide out of combat" option or something leaves the display hidden, but they still show in the interface options). Unless this bug occurs with another broker display I'm going to assume it's a bug in Fortress.

You most likely have them disabled in your Fortress configuration or you disabled the displays in Broker_Everything or you just didn't look hard enough. Or they may be hidden behind something else in your UI. Whatever it is, it's a problem on your end that you could have figured it out without wasting my time.
I do apologize. I never meant to "waste your time" after downloading 0.0.9 for the 3rd time and deleteing the saved variables folder the part that were missing are visible again.
thanks to you other guys for the suggestion. Im not sure youll want this bug report but i was able to get and copy the error message from in game this time.
after right clicking or shift right clicking( not sure which it was) on the clock I get an error box that keeps popping up ever few secs. This is what it contains..

Code:
Message: ...rface\AddOns\Broker_Everything\Broker_Everything.lua:501: 'date' format too long
Time: 11/26/09 20:54:00
Count: 37
Stack: [string "Interface\FrameXML\BasicControls.xml:<Scrip..."]:18: in function <[string "Interface\FrameXML\BasicControls.xml:<Scrip..."]:4>
[C]: ?
[C]: in function `date'
...rface\AddOns\Broker_Everything\Broker_Everything.lua:501: in function `func'
...rface\AddOns\Broker_Everything\Broker_Everything.lua:118: in function <...rface\AddOns\Broker_Everything\Broker_Everything.lua:106>

Locals: (*temporary) = "%l:%M %p"

If this is also a problem on my end I apologize in advance for wasting your time again.

Edit-- well i thought it was working right again. when i logged in everything was fine but after some point parts disappeared again. mem, fps latency, clock, money maybe this screenshot will help. Any other info i can provide just tell me.

First off, ensure that you deleted the Broker_Everything folder before you installed the new one (this is good practice for any addon). Next, make sure that you have the plugins enabled in your Fortress configuration. If you do, type /be list or /broker_everything list to see if you have any plugins disabled in BE itself. If everything is enabled in both places, then disable all addons EXCEPT Fortress and Broker_Everything and try again. If none of that works, then post back here with the exact version of BE and Fortress you're using, and an error report (if one pops up) and I'm sure someone will be able to help you.

The more information you can give about a "bug" the better anyone, developer or user, can help you out. Simply saying it doesn't work, while technically true, isn't very helpful in an of itself, as there are a myriad of reason why something might not work, mostly on the user end. Sad but true.

Wow. Seriously?

I'm sure there were a bunch of "bug reports" of that sort. That isn't a good reason to take out all of your frustration on the last person who made one. Some people don't even know what LDB is. Some people barely know how to install AddOns.

You aren't using the left shift key, are you? Will change that in the next version so it doesn't matter which shift key is used.

Memory usage question

Will this use less memory than the comparable Titan Panel plugins? Just curious. Thanks!

in the latest version, you can switch between local and server time with shift + right-click on the clock display.

Edit: yes, in 0.0.7 you can also switch xp and bag display modes (right click on them).
