MoveAnything - Updated for 3.2  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.2a
by: Nightness [More]

The is an unofficial (I'm not the author) 3.2 version of MoveAnything. It has some frame name updates and additions. As well as an updated TOC version. Hopefully the author of this program will make a complete update soon.

Problems saving frame locations?

MA isn't saving my frame positions anymore. I can move them where I want but next time I log in they revert back to their default locations. I've tried deleting the saved variables file, same result.

vehicle exit question

were you able to fix the issue where the player frame reverts back to the default Blizz position when exiting a vehicle while in combat? that is the sole reason I stopped using this addon to begin with.

MoveAnything with nUI

When I load MoveAnthing along with nUI (from wowinterface), the functionality of the nUI button bag changes.
The nUI button bag works similar to minimap button frame.
With MoveAnything loaded, nUI simply hides and unhides minimap buttons instead of gathering them up into a new frame.

Re: I am making a note for this on the Curse boards

The pvp score window does not work. The button wont even show up. You cant leave queue or see score as a result.

As for Beakerzor's comment: that isn't true at all. Both Curse and WowI are about equal for the popular addons, and both have addons that don't exist at the other. As for where an author chooses to upload their file, well, that's the author's choice, and no site can force anything different. Some authors upload to WowI first, then Curse, some the opposite, and some only upload to one or the other.

As an addon user, I have known since the launch of WoW to check both sites, and I even go to some authors' sites directly to get the newest versions. This isn't a competition; it is just going to where the addon I want is hosted.

Thank you for updating this.

I just started using MoveAnything (your update).

WOW. I can make my UI look the way I want across all of my characters.

Exclamation Re: Curse upload please

I suggest Curse fix their silly all-in-one thing, if it can't do it's main purpose, be all-in-one.

Curse rarely has all the updated addons anyways.

Awesome stuff! Although I suggest you upload this fix to Curse, as the new client v4 does read WowInterface files (but opens your web browser instead of downloading directly).

Most of the credit clearly goes to the original author. I just added and renamed a few frames to work with 3.2... v4??? v3 isn't even finished and you are using v4?!!??!!

I know nothing of v4, except this, the version number of this release for is version 3.2 so for v4 it would be flagged as out-of-date... As has always been the case in the past, you should be able to load out-of-date addons. Although if Blizzard has added or renamed a bunch of frames, it will not work as well as it does in 3.2. I'm still hoping the original author will continue their work. This release is only meant to keep people going until such a time.

Sorry, I must have not been clear. What I meant was that there is a v4 of the Curse Client, which you can beta preview from wowace.com

I am using this version of MoveAnything, the one you have fixed. And because the older version of MoveAnything is hosted on Curse, the client wants to overwrite your version of MA with the one in Curse's database. That means if you automatically update addons with the CC v4, it will downgrade your version to the older version of MoveAnything.

This is only important in the v4 Curse Client because, with Cairenn's permission, the new client parses WowInterface for updates, but opens your web browser to go to the page rather than downloading directly in the client.

Because your version of MoveAnything is not on Curse, and has no distinguishing name change from the older version, the CC will always try to install from Curse, thus the downgrade.

As the v3 Curse Client does not parse WowI files, the older client does not have this issue, and there is no way to force the v4 client to "use this addon instead."

All I'm suggesting is that you either tack on an artificial name change to your version of MoveAnything to say, for example, MoveAnything-3.2, or also post it to Curse.com as an updated version. Either way will work.

Whew, long-winded, but I hope I was more clear!!
