oUF Phanx  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 8.0.1.0
by: Phanx [More]

I am no longer developing or maintaining World of Warcraft addons. I haven't played in years, and don't have the time or interest to continue working on addons for a game I don't play anymore. If you are an addon author interested in continuing one of my addons, please see https://phanx.net/addons/. If you are an addon user, sorry, but there won't be any more fixes or updates from me.

oUF layout with many PvE-oriented features and a few options.
Features include aura filtering, dispel highlighting, threat highlighting, incoming heal bars, display of all secondary resources, totem timers, cast bars for player/pet/target, incoming resurrection text, combat feedback text, AFK timers, and smoothly updating bars. Mouse over the frames for more detailed health and power text. Hold Shift out of combat to temporarily disable aura filtering and see all buffs. Some elements auto-adjust based on role (healer, tank, damage).

Type /pouf for options, or browse to the oUF Phanx panel in the standard Interface Options window.

Supported units: player, pet, target, target’s target, focus, focus’s target, party, party pets, arena enemies, and bosses. Raid frames will not be added; use Grid or another raid frame addon of your choice.

Supported plugins: oUF_MovableFrames, oUF_SpellRange, and any plugin which does not require explicit support from within a layout. Also Clique for click-casting.

Note that you must install the oUF core addon separately.
Feedback
Post a ticket on GitHub or post a comment on this page. If you are reporting a problem, please read this first.

If you want to change something that does not have an in-game option to change, you will need to modify the addon's Lua code yourself. If you need help modifying the code, do not post here. This page is for support of the official version only, and tickets/comments asking for help with code changes on this page will be deleted. Post in the oUF forum instead.

If you are using a modified version of oUF_Phanx, do not post here. This page is for support of the official version only. Reproduce the problem with the official version first, or post in the oUF forum instead.
Language Support
Works in all languages. Translated into Deutsch, Español, Français (partial), Português (partial), Русский (partial), and 简体中文 (partial). You can add or update translations for any language on the CurseForge project page.

It's currently set up to show mushrooms the same way it shows holy power for paladins, shadow orbs for priests, etc. without any time display. There shouldn't be 4, though, only 3. Since I don't have a mushroom-caster, however, I'm relying on reading Blizzard's UI code to figure out how they handle mushrooms. I'll have to look at it some more when I get home.

Edit: Can you post a screenshot of mushrooms showing on the default UI? Also, type "/fstack" and move the cursor over a default mushroom button to find its name? Also type "/dump MAX_TOTEMS" and see whether it says 4 or 3 in your chat frame. Any/all of those would be helpful; just add them to your ticket. Thanks!

I installed Bugsack and copied the error text into a bug report. It appears to have something to do with DruidMushrooms.lua. Come to think of it -- after I installed the newest version it did load the first time. I found it odd that I had 4 'combo point' buttons on my frame since I only have 3 mushrooms so I landed and casted three mushrooms to see how it worked. Nothing happened on the UI so I did /reload. That is when it disappeared on me for good. I hope that helps!

Working fine for me, so I'm going to need more info.

Please post a bug report by clicking the link in the addon description (not the "Bugs" button under the "Download" button; I wish there was a way to disable that!), following the troubleshooting steps on that page, and then including all the requested information in your ticket.

Specifically, your description suggests a Lua error is being raised. Install BugSack, or at the very least enable Display Lua Errors in the default Interface Options, and copy/paste the error message into your report.

No unit frames since latest update

oUF_Phanx was working great until I updated it last night. The previous version had worked fine even on patch day but it wasn't until I updated it that I started having this problem. I have no unit frames at all. No player frame or target frame .. nothing.. and the blizzard default cast bar is back too. I tried disabling everything except oUF and oUF_Phanx but still the same issue. The only modification I have made is adding some spells to AuraFilters.lua. I wiped out my addons folder and downloaded your latest update and still no unit frames appeared. I really love this addon and it's killing me to be without it. I can provide more info if needed. Thanks for any help you can offer!

What... how did that not raise an error... I don't even... oh, probably because I'm not a priest and it's not a syntax error.

Version 5.2.0.314
  • Fixed a typo in Weakened Soul for priests

I don't PvP, and will never base any feature decisions on PvP, simply because it's just too hard to try to add and maintain features I will never personally use. Those sections of the code get neglected and end up full of bugs, and because users rarely report bugs until they are actually breaking the whole addon, those bugs usually sit around annoying users for months of even years. I've used too many addons where some feature I used was obviously not used by the addon's author, and I won't do that with my own addons. In fact, that's half the reason some of my own addons were written in the first place.

As for your tank scenario, that might be a good argument if oUF_Phanx had raid frames, but it doesn't. In a 5-man, things just aren't that serious.

There is now an option to show absorb effects (such as Power Word: Shield) on player, target, party and raid frames. This feature is currently enabled if you turn on the predictive healing option. Unlike predictive healing, absorb effects will display for enemy targets.
So as I understand this, it could be useful for everyone. I agree it might become messy with incoming heals, but personally I'd rather take this. Maybe implement it as a toggle switch.

Some examples:
Tank dropping low would normaly make every healer pop a CD or use their expensive casts, but seeing a healthy buffer on top of it because the priest just put a critical shield on him could change your decision. If the display even adds up all the shields from other classes this might not be trivial.

PvP target receiving a big shield. Especially since 5.2 introduces undispelable disc shields this could be pretty important for target switching/cc decisions.

I may or may not add it. Frankly I don't see that information as being of any value to anyone other than disc or holy priests, and it would be a hassle to get it working with the incoming healing bar without having ugly overlapping transparent textures everywhere -- I'd have to manually place all the textures instead of using the simple statusbar API, and I just don't see this info as being useful enough to justify the additional code complexity or the time it would take to implement. If you can convince me it's of general use, I may reconsider, but right now I'm strongly leaning toward not adding it.

auras[6788] = 3 -- Weakened Soul

Also, I just saw they add an absorb display to the default unitframes with 5.2:
http://media.mmo-champion.com/images...52absorbUI.jpg

That would be pretty neat to have in ouf too.

Most likely, Blizzard changed the spell ID. I don't have a mage, so you'll need to get the new spell ID in-game using this macro when your target has the debuff:

Code:
/run local _,_,_,_,_,_,_,_,_,_,id=UnitDebuff("target","Arcane Charge") print(id or "not found")
...and post it here so I can update the filter list. If you play in a language other than English, change the spell name in the macro to match the name of the Arcane Charge debuff in your language.

You can adapt the same macro to find the correct spell ID for Weakened Soul if you'd like to add it. Also make sure you're using the correct filter value; see the top of AuraFilters.lua for a list of possible values.

Ah yes sorry However i have another question. The "Arcane Charge" debuff on my mage won't show up, even tho its in the AuraFilers list. I also tried to add "Weakened Soul" debuff to the list but no luck.

In case you happen to see this, can you tell me what race and spec your druid is? The spellID you provided does not match the spellID I see on my tauren feral druid.

IMPORTANT: If you want to change something that doesn’t have an option to change, you will need to modify the layout’s code yourself, and I will not provide any help with modifications on this page. If you need help modifying the code, post in the oUF forum on this site; I read and respond to many posts there, as do many other community members. Comments on this page asking for help with code modifications will be deleted.
