Options

Type /pouf for options, or browse to the oUF Phanx panel in the standard Interface Options window.

⚑ IMPORTANT: If you want to change something that doesn’t have an in-game option to change, you will need to modify the layout’s Lua code yourself. If you need help modifying the code, post in the oUF forum, not here. This page is for support of the official version only.

Bug Reports

To report an error or other problem, please submit a bug report ticket.

Please don't use comments to report bugs, as comments cannot be bookmarked, searched, sorted, etc. and things posted there tend to get lost quickly or overlooked entirely.

⚑ IMPORTANT: If you are using a copy of oUF_Phanx with modifications of any kind, do not report bugs here. Reproduce the problem with an unmodified copy first, or post in the oUF forum for help with your modifications.

Feature Requests

Please note that this layout is written primarily to fill my own needs as a PvE enhancement shaman, and I'm not interested in adding any major features I wouldn't use myself. If you'd like to suggest a minor change to improve the layout for your class, or request support for a plugin, feel free to submit a suggestion describing your idea.

Raid frames will not be added. Use Grid or another raid frame addon of your choice.

Absorb amount bars are not planned at this time. If you think you have a good reason why I should change my mind, and it isn't PvP- or priest-specific, post a comment.

Aura Filter Notes

The predefined filters are based on the following criteria. If you think something should be changed in the predefined filter list for your class, please make sure it meets these criteria before requesting it.

Debuffs must be:

actively applied (feral druids don’t see Infected Wounds)
and not channeled (warlocks don’t see Drain Life),
or applied by someone else, and affects what you apply (rogues do see Curse of the Elements).

Buffs must be:

actively applied (resto shamans don’t see Earthliving)
with a short duration (priests don’t see Power Word: Fortitude)
or directly affecting your combat choices (Clearcasting, Bloodlust, etc).

Language Support

Compatible with English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Português, Русский, 한국어, 简体中文, and 繁體中文 game clients.

Translated into English, Deutsch (partial), Español, Français, Português, and 简体中文.

To add or update translations for any locale, enter them on the CurseForge project page and then send me a PM here (or on CurseForge) to let me know that you’ve made changes. The PM is important -- Curse doesn't notify me when new translations are added, so if you don't notify me either, I may not notice your translations for weeks, months, or ever!

If you don’t have a Curse account and don’t want to create one, you can PM me your translations instead.

I use your unit frames for PvP/arena too hence personally it would be better if I'm able to see absolute (or rounded) health/mana values. I'll try to edit the code but it doesn't seem so trivial.

You'd need to edit the code. When tanking or damage-dealing, I find it more useful to see the boss's health percent for phase changes and such. It doesn't really matter how much actual health the boss has. But, sometimes it's interesting to know, which is why it's available on mouseover.

I'm not sure I undersand the question. If you're talking about only using a 1.3 layout, then yes, you're totally fine. There's nothing wrong with oUF 1.3; the primary goal of 1.4 was to make the layout API more consistent, and offer a few more features for layout authors. If you're not writing layouts, then which version of the core you're running makes zero difference to you. If you're talking about running both a 1.3 layout and a 1.4 layout at the same time, then no, you won't be fine, since the two cores will overwrite each other and break one or both of the layouts.

So quick question about this - I know Nin/Twins is using your layout (I can understand why, this one is gorgeous!) however, I have been an avid fan of his alpha layout since he released it and I can't seem to let go of it just yet (longest I have ever used a UF). So I guess my concern was not getting an updated oUF layout to 1.4. I'm not suffering by not doing this then? I can keep my current one, Nin's, for 1.3 and be fine performance wise?

Thank and sorry if this question doesn't belong here but honestly this is the first statement that I think answers my conern.

Edit: There's not really any benefit in updating oUF to 1.4 if the layout you use is written for 1.3. In fact, unless you're a layout author (or maybe a plugin author) there's essentially no difference between any one version of oUF and any other version. The core, and any changes made to it, exist solely to make it easier to write layouts.

Edit #2: I've actually been slowly rewriting the frames from scratch over the last month or so, which is why it's not simply a matter of "update for API changes in oUF 1.4". The next version will be somewhat different than the current version, though it will adhere to the same basic stylistic principles.
