Neav UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 9.0.4
by: Neal, ballagarba, thomasjohnshannon

Neav UI
This UI compilation will work on all resolution.

I will not help with questions
Most of the addons in this compilation is only configurable via the supplied Lua config files (config.lua), so some basic programming knowledge is highly recommended but not required. A lot of the options are basically setting the value to either true or false depending on if you want to enable or disable the feature.

AddOns include
!Beautycase
!Colorz
nBuff
nChat
nCore
nMainbar
nMinimap
nPlates (by thomasjohnshannon)
nPower
nTooltip
oUF (by Haste)
oUF_Neav
oUF_NeavRaid

Thanks to Haste, kerrang, zork, Tuller, and many more for their great AddOns. And thomasjohnshannon/Grimsbain for making Neav UI compatible with Legion.

Information
A lot of the addons have a config.lua file where you can change some settings. So look first into this file before you ask something! Some addons like nCore, oUF_Neav and oUF_NeavRaid have an in-game configuration.

How can I move the player, target, focus, boss and arena frames?
Use the /neav slash command to toggle the anchors to move the frames around.

How can I move the Pet-, Stance- or Possessbar?
Press Shift + Alt and drag with your left mouse button on the first button of the Pet-, Stance- or Possessbar to move the them.

Commands
/neavrt to move the raid frames.
/rolecheck or /rcheck to do a role check.
/ntooltip toggles the tooltip anchor.
/alertframemover toggles the "talking head" anchor.
/neavcast toggles the anchors for the castbars.
/neavbag toggles the bag bar.
/moveextraactionbar toggles the anchor for the extra action button.

@DeezeNuts: Hmm, well it seems like the frame names for the different castbars aren't called "Quartz3CastBar..." anymore. Try something along the lines of:

Code:
- Quartz3CastBarPlayer:CreateBeautyBorder(11)
+ Quartz3.CastBarTemplate.bars['Player']:CreateBeautyBorder(11)
I have't tried this at all though, so probably won't work
Thank you for the quick reply! I actually have both of those oUF folders in there already. Should I delete them and install this: http://www.wowinterface.com/download...-oUF_Neav.html ?

I'm gona help ballagarba on this one, just go here https://github.com/renstrom/NeavUI and click DOWNLOAd ZIP to the right which will let you download the latest changes to Neav UI.

The main thing is for you to understand what was wrong, there is a missing folder/addon in there called oUF, the oUF folder will make you able to run oUF_Neav + oUF_NeavRaid. it is required for these two addons to work, so if you download the zip folder from the link I provided there will be an folder inside AddOns called "oUF" you either copy/paste that folder, or fresh install and paste all the zip, its your choice.

to make it more clearer in responde to what you wrote here.

I actually have both of those oUF folders in there already.
to put it simply, you need 3 oUF folders in there,

1- oUF (the runner plugin which will run both the underneath addons)
2- oUF_Neav (player,target,focus) frames
3- oUF_NeavRaid (raid frames)

Thanks for helping out Xully Just to add to what you said, due to how some stuff work over at GitHub.com the oUF folder will be empty (think of it as a placeholder). So you need to actually download that addon manually yourself.

Mystery solved! You're right, oUF is empty, the other two oUF folders have files in them. I understand what I need to do now (download oUF itself and put it inside of that empty folder). Thank you so much!

If you want working in dungeons quest tracker just delete this file: objectivetracker.lua from \World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\nCore\modules

Yeah I need to do something about that stupid objective tracker. I need a way to reliably reproduce the issue though... Still haven't encountered it

Hello all, sorry to be a pest, but I seem to be having one small other issue. It looks like I'm getting some overlap between the NeavRaid stuff, Blizzard's default, and something else. I tried disabling NeavRaid to see if it made a difference but I don't think it did. Here's some pictures.

http://i.imgur.com/Vh74AZl.jpg - This is with everything on after I fixed the oUF issue (empty folder)

http://i.imgur.com/fpiB4EY.jpg - This is after I disabled oUF_NeavRaid

http://i.imgur.com/azyfkgE.jpg - Just another shot

I like how Neav enhances the default party UI and would like to keep that during non-raids. How do I set it up so that during dungeons, I could have that, but it would switch to Raidframes in LFR/Normals? Or how would I disable Neav's stuff, and only use the Blizzard Raidframes all the time?

Come on dude, it says right on the front page that he won't help with questions and that all the settings are located at the config files. One glance at the ouf_neavrt config file and you would have solved this "issue".

Guys, relax

To disable the raid frames you just have to delete the oUF_NeavRaid addon.

Ok what is happening is you need to go into the config.lua file of oUF_NeavRaid and change some of the options.

Here is the path to get to the config file: Interface>AddOns>oUF_NeavRaid>config.lua

Open the config.lua file with your favorite text editor (I recommend Notepad++). find the following code and make the changes:

Change this
Code:
    units = {
        ['raid'] = {
            showSolo = true,
            showParty = true,
To this
Code:
    units = {
        ['raid'] = {
            showSolo = false,
            showParty = false,
Then save the file. Once saved run WoW, if WoW is already running type /reload in your chat and hit enter.

Hope this helps.

Coke

EDIT: Also I belive the reason your third pic show the over lap of the default blizzard raid frames is because you did not close wow then reopen it, when trying to disable addons to completely get rid of them you need to log out of WoW and remove them, the build it AddOns button wow has now does not completely get rid of the addon.

If you are this clueless you should probably be looking for another UI to use, sorry.

To this
Code:
    units = {
        ['raid'] = {
            showSolo = false,
            showParty = false,
Then save the file. Once saved run WoW, if WoW is already running type /reload in your chat and hit enter.

Hope this helps.

Poked around the config files and found this. Thanks a ton.
