Neav UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 7.0.3
by: Neal, ballagarba

Neav UI
This UI compilation will work on all resolution.

I will not help with questions
Most of the addons in this compilation is only configurable via the supplied Lua config files (config.lua), so some basic programming knowledge is highly recommended but not required. A lot of the options are basically setting the value to either true or false depending on if you want to enable or disable the feature.

AddOns include
!Beautycase
!Colorz
nBuff
nChat
nCore
nMainbar
nMinimap
nPlates (by thomasjohnshannon)
nPower
nTooltip
oUF (by Haste)
oUF_Neav
oUF_NeavRaid

Tanks to Haste, kerrang, zork, Tuller, and many more for their great AddOns. And thomasjohnshannon/Grimsbain for making Neav UI compatible with Legion.

Information
A lot of the addons have a config.lua file where you can change some settings. So look first into this file before you ask something!

How can I move the player, target and focus frame?
Press Shift + Alt and drag with your left mouse button to move them. This only works outside of combat!

How can I move the Pet-, Stance- or Possessbar?
Press Shift + Alt and drag with your left mouse button on the first button of the Pet-, Stance- or Possessbar to move the them.

Commands
/neavreset to reset the position of the player, target and/or focus frame.
/neavrt to move the raid frames.
/wm, /worldmarkers, /rm or /raidmarkers to show world raid markers.
/rolecheck or /rcheck to do a role check.

The latest updates and changes can be found on Github.

v7.0.3

- nPlates and nPower are back thanks to thomasjohnshannon.
- Added option to oUF_Neav to show target debuffs above the player frame.
- Added option to oUF_Neav to only show player buffs/debuffs on target.
- Added a slash command (`/neavbag`) to nMainbar to toggle the new bag bar.
- Made the arena and boss frame moveable by pressing shift-alt and dragging (outside of combat).
- The alert frame (where garrison missions etc. show up) has been moved to the top instead of the bottom.
- Party, arena and boss frames now movable while pressing alt-shift and dragging (outside of combat).

v7.0.0

Huge props to thomasjohnshannon/Grimsbain who basically made all the work!

- nPower has been removed in favour for the new nameplate and resource options in Legion.
- nPlates has been removed. Too much work was required to make it compatible with Legion, and it didn't offer much functionality over the default nameplates. Might, or might not make a comeback in the future.
- nMainbar added a bar to toggle the bags.
- Item level has been removed nTooltip.
- The "disable fade" option has been removed from nTooltip.
- The custom drop down to move player/target/focus frame has been removed and replaced with the same mechanism used for the pet-/stancebar; i.e. press alt-shift and drag with your mouse. A new slash command has also been added to reset the frames (/neavreset).
- Misc bugs and fixes to make it compatible with Legion.

v. 6.2.0

- Support for patch 6.2.0
- Removed glow from the spiral on healing indicators
- Level text should now be properly centered on the player and target frame
- Scaled down and moved the garrison icon on the minimap

It seems that nChat isn't playing nice with GHI (Gryphon Heart Items addon). I'm no LUA expert...any way I could get them to work together? :\
Link to GHI? What is this?

			if not GlyphFrame then LoadAddOn("Blizzard_GlyphUI") end
			PlayerTalentFrame_Toggle()
		end,

So you want the name background always classcolored and the name itself always white?

So how will you see (FAST!) if your target is an enemy or not?

I'm trying to switch my config changes to using a separate config_custom.lua file that was suggested at some point in the comments. It works fine for everything but oUF_Neav and oUF_NeavRaid. What am I missing?

Code:
## Interface: 40300
## Author: Neav
## Title: oUF_|cffCC3333N|r|cffE53300e|r|cffFF4D00a|r|cffFF6633v|r
## RequiredDeps: oUF, !Beautycase
## OptionalDeps: oUF_AuraWatch, oUF_SpellRange, oUF_CombatFeedback, oUF_Smooth, oUF_Swing, oUF_Vengeance

config.lua
config_custom.lua

...
Code:
local _, ns = ...

ns.Config.show.pvpicons = false
ns.Config.units.['player'].scale = 1.0
ns.Config.units.['player'].showCombatFeedback = false
ns.Config.units.['player'].position = {'CENTER', UIParent, -225, -200}
ns.Config.units.['player'].castbar.scale = 1.132
...

@sheegeek: Hmm, that's odd. I haven't had any problems with whispers of any kind. Make sure to double-check your individual chat-tab settings.

@deadflocos: Press and hold alt+shift (if I remember correctly) while dragging the first icon to the left with your mouse to your desired location.

I was wondering if anyone else is having their whispers not show up (when nChat is enabled) ?

Once I disable nChat...my whispers work. Odd.

Any help would be appreciated

p.s i've used your UI since way back in wrath...so you know. I basically <3 it ^_^

I've actually managed to modify the inner shadow for the weapon buffs now. There's two options with different results:

1. Changing the texture from textureDebuff.tga to textureOverlay.tga like so:
nBuff/core.lua at line 191
Code:
border:SetTexture(cfg.borderBuff)
The downside of this is that the pink/purple color will become WAY darker. You could try and change to color to something else on 193 though, but it will still be dark.

2. Modify the texture itself, use some image editor and open textureDebuff.tga and remove the inner glow, you can compare with textureOverlay.tga to see how it should look.

If you haven't got Photoshop or something similar, Paint.net is a free image editor that works good.

--

About not showing the raid frames when entering a battleground is a little more complex, you'd have to write a script which checks for when you enter a battleground and move the frames off screen, and move them back again when you exit.

I take it you think the frames take up too much screen space when in Alterac Valley and other 40-man battlegrounds? I actually have a little script I made that automatically positions the raid frames based on if I'm currently in healer or dps/tank spec. And changes the scale for the frames when there's more than 28 people in the raid.

You can see it here

What you could do though, is either use /neavrt to move the frames off screen (bottom right corner or something), or use the mini-menu on nMainbar and press AddOns > NeavRaid and move it off screen that way (it's the same thing).
Thanks a lot, this is the perfect answer
