Neav UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 9.0.4
by: Neal, ballagarba, thomasjohnshannon

Neav UI
This UI compilation will work on all resolution.

I will not help with questions
Most of the addons in this compilation is only configurable via the supplied Lua config files (config.lua), so some basic programming knowledge is highly recommended but not required. A lot of the options are basically setting the value to either true or false depending on if you want to enable or disable the feature.

AddOns include
!Beautycase
!Colorz
nBuff
nChat
nCore
nMainbar
nMinimap
nPlates (by thomasjohnshannon)
nPower
nTooltip
oUF (by Haste)
oUF_Neav
oUF_NeavRaid

Thanks to Haste, kerrang, zork, Tuller, and many more for their great AddOns. And thomasjohnshannon/Grimsbain for making Neav UI compatible with Legion.

Information
A lot of the addons have a config.lua file where you can change some settings. So look first into this file before you ask something! Some addons like nCore, oUF_Neav and oUF_NeavRaid have an in-game configuration.

How can I move the player, target, focus, boss and arena frames?
Use the /neav slash command to toggle the anchors to move the frames around.

How can I move the Pet-, Stance- or Possessbar?
Press Shift + Alt and drag with your left mouse button on the first button of the Pet-, Stance- or Possessbar to move the them.

Commands
/neavrt to move the raid frames.
/rolecheck or /rcheck to do a role check.
/ntooltip toggles the tooltip anchor.
/alertframemover toggles the "talking head" anchor.
/neavcast toggles the anchors for the castbars.
/neavbag toggles the bag bar.
/moveextraactionbar toggles the anchor for the extra action button.

This is what I did, open up nMinimap\nMinimap.lua and find
Code:
--MiniMapInstanceDifficulty:SetAlpha(0)
and comment it out with --.

And enter the following on the rows after
Code:
MiniMapInstanceDifficulty:ClearAllPoints()
MiniMapInstanceDifficulty:SetPoint('BOTTOMRIGHT', Minimap, 5, -40)
This will position the banner on the bottom right corner of the minimap, thus not obstructing the the view of the map.

Take a look at the other Addons you're using, if they have an option to hide artwork (Carbonite does for ex.).

Edit: You mean ClassColors from Phanx?

It doesn't seem to work whether added to the sections individually or both. If you or someone has time, may I please have a reply with what I'm doing incorrectly, and how to fix it?
Try just

Code:
self.Debuffs.filter = "PLAYER"
or

Code:
self.Debuffs.filter = "HARMFUL"

You simply need a white texture, why white? Because the debuffcoloring or do you want black debuffcolors? :P . Then you open the nBuff.lua file and remove

Code:
    button.Background = button:CreateTexture('$parentBackground', 'BACKGROUND')
    button.Background:SetPoint('TOPRIGHT', border, 3.35, 3.35)
    button.Background:SetPoint('BOTTOMLEFT', border, -3.35, -3.35)
    button.Background:SetTexture('Interface\\AddOns\\nBuff\\media\\textureBackground')
    button.Background:SetVertexColor(0, 0, 0, 1)
~ line 80-90

and at the bottom of the file

Code:
    if (button and not button.Background) then
        button.Background = button:CreateTexture('$parentBackground', 'BACKGROUND')
        button.Background:SetPoint('TOPRIGHT', button.texture or border, 3.35, 3.35)
        button.Background:SetPoint('BOTTOMLEFT', button.texture or border, -3.35, -3.35)
        button.Background:SetTexture('Interface\\AddOns\\nBuff\\media\\textureBackground')
        button.Background:SetVertexColor(0, 0, 0, 1)
    end
Then you must change

Code:
button.texture = button:CreateTexture('$parentOverlay', 'ARTWORK')
to

Code:
 button.texture = button:CreateTexture('$parentOverlay', 'BACKGROUND')

Buff skins?

I was just trying to create a 1px Border für nBuff and nMinimap (maybe also nTooltip).

The thing is, I cant just draw a fancy picture with a 1px Border and post it in the media folder as for example with Roth's rBuff, because it messes the buff display.

But as I like the code of nBuff a lot more (although I'm not understanding everything because of being a noob in LUA) I don't want to see myself to go back to rBuff.

So is anyone willing to try to give me a hint (the way the tga should look like, what part of code I'd have to change) on how I can use/create "skins" for nBuff etc.

Check the bottom couple of lines of the raid.lua.. they look like:
Code:
raid[i]:SetScale(1.2)
    raid[i]:SetManyAttributes(
        'showParty', true,
        'showPlayer', true,
        'showSolo', false,
        'showRaid', true,
        'columnSpacing', 7,
        'unitsPerColumn', 1,
        'maxColumns', 5,
        'columnAnchorPoint', 'TOP',
        'groupFilter', i
        )
    raid[i]:Show()
end
Set showSolo to false, and you should only see it in raid and party.. dont want the party? set showParty to false..
