RaidFramesPlus  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2.50a
by: Macniel [More]

RaidFrames+ is another set to improve the game experience with the standard interface provided with the latest version of World of Warcraft.

I have resumed this project (which started with the not so popular MacTools) because the current RaidFrames have been improved with Wrath of the Lich King but not as much as I wished (and other RaidFrames looks just deplaced in the default Interface).

What does this AddOn do to the RaidFrames

Currently this AddOn adds ( or improves ) these functions in the raidframes:

  • Debuff-highlightning : the frame of an affected Raidmember will glow in the corresponding debuff color also the Debuff is moved within the UnitButton to save screen estate.
  • Custom Aura-Highlightning : define in a special list in which color a Raidmember should be highlighted if it has a defined aura (by name)
  • Healthtext: over the Health and Manabar there is now a number that display the current Health of this unit
  • 4 Different displaytypes of Health:
    • absolute values,
    • deficite values (mainly for healers),
    • big k values ( values bigger than 1,000 will be represented as thousands) and
    • percent values
    • NEW : custom format (see below)
  • Aggro : the littel dot next to the healthbar is a nice addition by Blizzard, but for me it is hard to distinguish; so the Healthtext will be colored by the current ThreatSituation (Red : tanking; Orange: Winning on Threat; Yellow: hardly tanking)
  • RaidIcons: right next to the UnitButtons thier should be the current raid target icon (lucky charms) displayed
  • Fixed Borders: of Healthbars and Manabars
  • Graphical Interface Configuration Panel
  • Enhanced Healthar display modi:
    • Allways doublesize : this option will hide the manabar and increase height of the healthbar by 200%
    • No Mana: this option will hide the manabar if the unit has no mana as powersource (rogues, warriors, deathknights, non caster-pets, vehicles) and increase the height of the healthbar (in this mode those raidframes looks like xperl in blizzard style)
    • Never : the healthbar is untouched and the manabar is displayed as usual
  • Mass-toggle between debuff and buff display (this is useful during buffing the raid) inspired by lab1702 and his addon RaidPulloutOrganizer
how to configure this AddOn?

The configuration will be done via the interface options, but you have to use
/rfp -d

to mass-toggle between buffs and debuffs

If you have suggestions please post them into comments, bugreports please into my portal thank you.

bugfixes since v2.50a
Added a update_scale call in the configuration panel so the raid frames should be scaled when every you leave the configuration panel
since v2.50

since v2.30

since v2.20

since v2.16
RaidTargetIcons implemented, to enable check the Interface options (experimentell)

since v2.12

Known bug: RaidFramesPlus prevents somehow clicking on the Targetframe of an unitbutton

since v2.10a
Fixed a strange typo (which cause registering events that are not existing thus leading to malfunctioning) : RAID_ROSTER_UPDATE was RAID_ROASTER_UPDATE (mmh tasty)

since v2.10
Improved and localed algorithms, this addon should now no longer impact the performance that much (in idle mode it has a footprint of 21 Kb)
New Feature added: mass-toggle between buffs and debuffs (inspired by lab1702 and RaidPulloutOrganizer)

since v2.00

3.1 compatibility changed

if it has to span over mana bar, it's still very good, I'm a healer, I don't care about people's mana/rage/energy jumping up and down during a fight.

p.s. there are 3 "nil" errors in 2.30.1, you're missing "or 1" and "or 0.75" and "or "" "

p.s.2 arrangements are kinda messed up. I had horizontal but horizontal wasn't checked, I changed it and the background shape stayed the same, after reload ui it was even weirder.

That's my only concern with default raid frames. Things are just too small. Scaling doesn't fix that, it makes everything bigger, most of the frame space is occupied by emptiness
technically yes, I will look at it. I have the idea that the healthbar will be at the size of the target_healthbar so it will be double sized

Is it possible to change the health bar height and/or change the power bar alpha?

The point is to not use the regular party and party pet frames - ever. And perhaps to not use the regular player frame, either. I do this now with Grid - I keep the party and party pet frames suppressed at all times, and Grid active at all times. It keeps my interface uniform no matter what I'm doing, and saves a lot of space.

The ability is there but if there are joining players while in combat the unitbuttons will placed under the right most unitbutton of a raidpullout that looks awful.
I don't know what you mean by "the unitbuttons" - what are they? Whatever you're referring to, as long as everything snaps back to normal when combat is over, that's fine with me. The number of times someone joins or leaves the group during combat is pretty small, and I can tolerate a temporary problem that resolves itself once combat is over.

Being stuck with the vertical layout is one of the reasons I stopped using the Blizzard frames 4.5 years ago.

Thanks for the responses. I'll be keeping an eye on your progress with this very appealing mod.

I like this addon, I'm too messing with the default UI, pimping it so that it's actually usable, and I got those 2 questions for ya:

1. Is it possible to change the health bar height? Alpha?
2. Is it possible to change the background alpha?

scaling is good as done, it is very useful because the statusbars will also be sized. To laid out in some uniform pattern I recommend RaidPulloutOrganizer by lab1702.

I'm not sure why, but I have no display when using this mod. No raidframes are ever visible.
I have no problems with it, so other Players here, did you pullout those Raidframes of your Raid-Tab in your Social Window ?
