FogBG

Version: 1.0
by: yleaf [More]

This mod use m2 model to show a *floating* fog texture.
You will need to install skinner to make the blizzy frame transparent.
Addon works with all language.

You can use more color by modifying .lua file.
Feel free to ask about everything by leaving a comment.

(Here is a video you can see how it works. http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/3xTLv4LlHS4/)

High spell effect detail make the fog dense.

KNOWN ISSUES:
Display wrong model in some instance/battleground

Indeed but it doesn't work for me. It creates black opaque frame. Am I missing something?

Oh there's another addon named "FogBG" can be reskinned by skinner. So don't care about that.

The fog frame anchors to ChatFrame1 (which is made by blizz). I'll take a look.

USE the marco " /print GetMouseFocus():GetName() "
to get the prat frame name,after that,open the fogbg.lua, find the lua code ChatFrame1.....ChatFrame5

EX:
ChatFrame1 = {0,0,2,-5}, -- Change the prat frame name what you had got by the marco
ChatFrame2 = {0,0,2,-5},
ChatFrame3 = {0,0,2,-5},
ChatFrame4 = {0,0,2,-5},
ChatFrame5 = {0,0,2,-5},

By the way,we found the new m2 model name "Christmassnowrain.m2'" ,It's very nice too.
open the Fogbg.lua
modify the code" local Fog = 'SPELLS\\Christmassnowrain.m2' "

Bar at the bottom

Hey.. What's this fogged bar at the bottom, in the middle of the screen? And how do i get rid of it? It has no meaning for my setup... I just want the fogged skin.

@frankms

How did you get that fog to show up at the top of the frames, mine only shows on the bottom half.

My spell effect is turned to max, that action bar frame doesn't appear to have fog effect. I don't really use it so its not a big deal but there are some other frames that seem to follow the suit. Like Talent frame for example. It is not modified by any addons either. I also used frankms macro to very the frames' names and they are all in order. The fog will just not show on them for some reason.

Add a line at the end of the file:
Code:
ActionBarFogBGFrame:Hide()
