Skada Damage Meter  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.8.2
by: zarnivoop, funkydude, oscarucb

Skada is a modular damage meter with various viewing modes, segmented fights and customizable windows. It aims to be highly efficient with memory and CPU.

Usage

When you first start using Skada, there will be a window created by default. This window can be extensively customized in Skada's configuration panel; click the little cog icon to access a menu, and then click Configure. Depending on your user interface, there may also be a minimap button allowing quick access to this menu.

Skada supports multiple windows. To create a new window, click Windows in the addon's configuration panel. There are three built-in types of windows - Bar, Inline, and Data text. Bar is the classic damage meter window, and is very customizable. Inline shows the meter in a horizontal line, which can be useful for integration in custom user interfaces. Data text shows just one item at a time, and can also be displayed by any LDB display addon, such as Titan Panel, ChocolateBar, or ElvUI.

In the normal Bar window, you can left click on specific items for more detailed information, and right click for less details. At the very "top" is the list of all saved fight segments. Some data modes have several detailed information views. In this case you choose alternate views by holding certain keys pressed while clicking. For example, in Damage mode, you can Shift-click a player to see what enemies the player caused damage to. Tooltips will display how to reach the different views.

You can also use window buttons for selecting fight segment and mode directly.

Scrolling in Skada is done with the mousewheel.

Plugins

Skada is very easy to extend, and there are many extra plugin addons out there that add functionality, such as:

There is a forum thread for discussion on Skada.
Suggestions and bug reports here. Bug reports in comments will be deleted. There is a page with API information here.

"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".

Would it be possible to not have 'drill downs' for threat post-fight but just take a snapshot of the threat bars basically so it doesn't disappear, so people can review a bit how their threat was?

Iunno just trying to help Definitely sounds like a separate addon, but hey Skada is modular so either it could be done officially or someone could start up a threat module for Skada right?

One thing I'd really like to see in a DM mod is the ability to track/post damage only to certain mobs.

I guess the clearest example would be sarth with drakes, being able to see and post the individual damage done to each of the drakes would help tremendously in seeing who is actually doing their job by attacking the right target.

In recount, I am able to switch over to the damage taken tab and have bosses come up in that list, but I can't actually post a list of players that damaged the boss (only their abilities)
Skada has two modes for this, "Enemy damage done" and "Enemy damage taken". They show all mobs in a fight segment, and on clicking on a mob it shows what each player did to or took from that mob. Currently detail views can not be used to report from.

The module is called SkadaEnemies and is included with Skada.

after recent rls, it stopped displaying current/lastfight/saved/boss's dps chart.
I usually have it to switch to show current dps and then returning to overall dps after encounter. just wont show any dps charts. displays other categories just fine.

heres error i got

REQUEST: Add an option to only enable the threat warning while in an instance/raid or when in a party.

I need it to warn me when I'm nearing the tank's threat, but it drives me crazy when I'm questing with my voidwalker as it activates practically non-stop.

Thanks again for this exceptional addon.

/skada report raid - for example doesn't work and I loved how fast that was for reporting the open/active frame.

Yes. Currently I'm working on making Skada's windows display-system agnostic. When this is done configurable columns is next.

Only if you tell it to do so, in the appearance tab.

Most of the time i have the damage window displayed, and it's showing:

1. Playername 8.1k (805.1, 53.9%)

It's like, WAY too wide, is there any way to have it more like:

1. Playername 8100 (53.9%)

or even:

1. Playername 8100 (805.1)

As i already explained before, i personally feel no need to see the dps in the damage window, if i want to see the dps, i open/switch to the dps window.

This is really that that i have to keep using recount only because of a layout issue, because technically, Skada does everything i need.
Recount shows DPS in the main window aswell http://static.wowace.com/uploads/19/...MainWindow.jpg

If you could add options to let users decide what to display in the main window (Name, damage, DPS, % damage done), it would make everyone happy.
