Skada Damage Meter  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.8.2
by: zarnivoop, funkydude, oscarucb

Skada is a modular damage meter with various viewing modes, segmented fights and customizable windows. It aims to be highly efficient with memory and CPU.

Usage

When you first start using Skada, there will be a window created by default. This window can be extensively customized in Skada's configuration panel; click the little cog icon to access a menu, and then click Configure. Depending on your user interface, there may also be a minimap button allowing quick access to this menu.

Skada supports multiple windows. To create a new window, click Windows in the addon's configuration panel. There are three built-in types of windows - Bar, Inline, and Data text. Bar is the classic damage meter window, and is very customizable. Inline shows the meter in a horizontal line, which can be useful for integration in custom user interfaces. Data text shows just one item at a time, and can also be displayed by any LDB display addon, such as Titan Panel, ChocolateBar, or ElvUI.

In the normal Bar window, you can left click on specific items for more detailed information, and right click for less details. At the very "top" is the list of all saved fight segments. Some data modes have several detailed information views. In this case you choose alternate views by holding certain keys pressed while clicking. For example, in Damage mode, you can Shift-click a player to see what enemies the player caused damage to. Tooltips will display how to reach the different views.

You can also use window buttons for selecting fight segment and mode directly.

Scrolling in Skada is done with the mousewheel.

Plugins

Skada is very easy to extend, and there are many extra plugin addons out there that add functionality, such as:

There is a forum thread for discussion on Skada.
Suggestions and bug reports here. Bug reports in comments will be deleted. There is a page with API information here.

"Skada" is Swedish for "Damage".

Ah my mistake but, thank you!

I was not in group, killed one mob since reset. Double lines is a result of whispering to myself.
Reporting to Self will report only 1 line...
Yes, fixed in 1.2-6.

Is it possible that you can make an option in the configs, where you can put something on where you can click THROUGH the bars?

Because im having this in the top middle of the screen and it fails when i need to target mobs, because i cant click through it

Would be imba, else its great! ;D

Edit: this is only a bug when using a Background on the meter, but i really dont want to remove my background just for clicking through would be imba if you could fix it so i can click through it when it has a background ^^

changelog shows
1.2-3
* Failbot and boss libraries are now kept up to date.
The fail module uses the library LibFail-1.0 which looks like it upto date with ulduar bosses

Absorbs

As one of my many toons is a Disc Priest I'm wondering if there was any work underway to allow absorb tracking on a meaningful level? I heard somewhere that since 3.1, the combatlog correctly tracks absorbs, who the shield is from and by how much so some support for Divine Aegis and Power Word: Shield would make many of us happy!

Damage taken analyses

DPS meters such as Skada tells me how much damage I have taken and what type of damage they are.

I would like to find out for given type of damage that I have taken, what was my dodge, block, parry and miss chance.

For example I am fighting a mob and its only using auto attack. For this fight I would like to know how much i dodged, parried, blocked etc.

Is there anyway to see this info in Skada?

Thanks

Is the fail mode updated to recognize the Ulduar Fails spotted in the latest version of Failboat?

Skada has no method if being hidden permanently, (like omen's hide function). Let me tell you -- this is fxing annoying, particularly in battlegrounds. Every time you close it, it reopens upon joining a new BG. ANNOYING!!

Error since patch

I keep getting this since the patch:

Code:
[2009/04/18 16:08:13-5493-x1]: Skada-1.0\BarDisplay.lua:315: Usage: NumberFont_Shadow_Small:SetFont("font", fontHeight [, flags])

The current update changed the font to "Accidental Presidency" for some reason.

Here is the error when I try to change the font:

Everything still works as near as I can tell, just can't change the font without getting errors. The font does change though.

Regardless, love the mod

Replaced Recount and Omen3 for me.

Hiho...
really great tool.
But right know i got a problem with the threat-meter.
As i changed my unitframes from pitbull3 to pitbull 4, the threatmeter is absent...any ideas?
I tried it out with my old pb3 style and it appears again.....??
So is it true that this thing isn´t workin with pb4?
