FAQs
/freeb will unlock the frames
/freeb <something> will open the interface panel.

oUF is included in this addon but it is only accessible to Freebgrid.

Q: How do I create new indicators?
A: Edit tags.lua (some lua skills required). I've added at least one indicator to every healing class, so you can use those as an example(always open to suggestions). Then add the tag name to your class table at the bottom of the tags.lua.

Q: How do I add raid (de)buffs?
A: Use the aura_list.lua file to add spell names or GetSpellInfo(spellid) to the aura table and set a priority number >= 1(Higher numbers show over lower).

Most of the general setting can be done in the interface panel and usually requires a ReloadUI when your done.

Indeed, there is a lot of spellid for that debuff. Next time in LFR, I will try this one : http://www.wowhead.com/spell=109389. If that doesnt work, I'll use the spell name and report back

6.8 supports background transparency. Just Note that the target and focus highlight border textures are solid textures behind the background and will conflict that transparency. Both can be disabled in the misc options though.

The aura_list now supports spell names and spell ids. If you can find the proper spell id, that should resolve the problem. Just be aware that there can be multiple spellids for a spell and just adding one of them my not work.

I've used several versions of Freebgrid, and in most 6.0 versions I always get the following "glitch":
If I switch targets in grid (by selecting with left click) and cast a spell within 0.5 seconds of changing the target, the spell will be fired on the old target instead of the new.
I haven't seen or heard of this problem before and not sure why It would only be affecting you. How are you casting the spells? Mouseover macros, Clique, ...?

Edit: This latest update could probably use more testing and I still have some things to work on but wanted to get the spellid support out there to hopefully fix the Deep Corruption problem.

i also want transparrent hp background and cannot figure out how to set it. i tried changing

hpbgcolor

hasAlpha = true,

and that will let me set alpha on background in the config, but even after reloads, it will just stay perma black.

To preface this:

I know this mod isn't frequently updated anymore, however, I hope someone will still be able to help me out.

I've used several versions of Freebgrid, and in most 6.0 versions I always get the following "glitch":

This does not happen on version 5.5, which is my go to backup, however that version does not have support of several other features that I currently need.

Can anyone provide any help on what to edit in the files to make the mod "update" my target selection faster for spell purposes?

Hey, I was also editing the debuff lists and noticed that I cannot find the right spellID or something for deep corruption in Yor'sahj encounter. I can see the deep corruption debuff, but i cannot see the stacks. and of course I want to see the stacks so I know who I can still heal.

Just wondering Do i have wrong spell-id or do I need to do something else to make stacks visible.
From what I understand, the mod only uses the spell ID to get the name of the spell, and then filters the debuffs according to the name. Unfortunately, both of the debuffs (the stacking one from heals, and the one that indicates that the mechanic is present) have the same name - I also haven't found a way to separate them. : (

Love this. <3 favorite raid frames. Couple of things tho:

In config.lua, there's the names and such for the font flags, For outlinemonochrome the first bracket only said "outlinemono" which seemed to default to trying to do a normal outline onto my pixel font, making it look blurred, fixed it to the full word and it looks normal. But I guess it's not a big issue as pixel fonts aren't that popular xD

Also, allthough it's not very important, I've been trying to make the glow border smaller and less prominent, without removing it complelty. I have several bits and pieces of my ui with a mild shadow border, but the raid frames stick out with such a thick one. Possible? It's fine with the glow border turned off instead tho, if it's not easily done.

Either way, great addon : D

delete Glowtex in media folder.

how do i get a tukui style border around them?

Edit: a more serious feature, would it be really hard to add a "center" position?. So that if you place yourself alone in the middle of the screen and join a 25man raid, it will expand left and right, and the same with say 40man raid? 25man would have 12.5 left 12.5 right or so, and 40man 20 on each side(or up and down aswell). Would be a really sweet addition, transitioning between 10 and 25man raids, and going into bgs, and arenas too i guess.

Oh. Freebgrid does not hide the default raid manager, you need something like HideRaidFrame or RaidHide....
