MetaHud - Nuckin Branch  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

MetaHud - Nuckin Branch is a Heads Up Display Add-on for World of Warcraft 3.0 and above. It is a continuation of the original MetaHud by MetaHawk which was discontinued after Patch 2.4.3.

Although MH-Nuckin is a continuation, it isn't the same. MH-Nuckin is focused on remaining encapsulated as a self sustaining Add-on without requiring other libraries. As thus, its feature set differs from MetaHud's.

As of v30100-8.0, MetaHud - Nuckin Branch no longer includes a cast bar. I suggest using my stand alone cast bar called Circle Cast.

MetaHud - Nuckin Branch Features: (as of v30100-8.0)

  • Curved Verticle Health, Mana, Rage, Energy, and Runic Power bars for Player, Target, and Pets.
  • Target's Target Name and Health Bar.
  • Reskinnable Bar Backgrounds.
  • Death Knight rune support.
  • Movable Death Knight Runes.
  • Skinnable Death Knight Runes.
  • Target Buffs (40) and Target Debuffs (40).
  • Countdown timers on all Target Auras.
  • Movable and Resizable Target Auras.
  • Target range indicator.
  • Target guild display.
  • Resting, PvP, Combat, Leader, and Looter icons.
  • Text based Threat Meter.
  • Unique HUD texture that are exclusive to MetaHud - Nuckin Branch.
  • In Game graphical configuration tool to make MetaHud look and feel how you want.
  • Savable Profiles per Warcraft Account.

This addon is called "MetaHud - Nuckin Branch", not "Metahud for 3.0" or anything along those lines, as stated in the description, this addon is not simply a MetaHud update but rather my derivation from MetaHud as how MetaHud was a derivation of Drathal's Hud.

With that being said, I don't like to code redundancy such as including two Rune displays or two cast bars because it causes more problems down the road maintaining the redundancy and also creates a larger than necessary memory footprint and I strive to try and keep MetaHud as lean as possible to not be a burden on less than optimum computers.

Circle Cast 2.0 will be bundled as a module for a future version of metahud. This means that it will come as a third directory in the MetaHud-X.X.zip file but will also be available as a stand-alone addon.

There's my compromise. More details on CC2 will be available once I get closer to a release.

Just stop discussing with nuckin. It will not work. You will be called LAZY or such.

I just dont understand why it isn't possible to get both working, the oly style of runes and buffs (or castbar if you want) and your way...this is an old addon, thanks to you for updating it. But please...dont change the addon. This is the only thing i use Meta hud and not another Hud...because i liked the functionallity and style of the hud. And...sorry for saying that...the correct work of the castbar (as you said when interrupting some spell or such) was really absolutly not a problem.

So please just think about it and about all the requests to get back to old style...updating an existing mod is not just finishing it as you want but get it work for all...

It had an issue where if I hit Slam on my warrior accidentally without Bloodthirst proced and then interrupted it, the cast bar would just keep flashing.

Hey Nuckin,

I have a small suggestion for a future update. Now that you have implimented the new "auras" feature, I can see that it is missing an option to show your own auras and not only your targets auras. Do you think you can make an option for this?
And maybe an option called: "show self auras in combat only"... Just a thought

Ps. Love the addon, been using it for a VERY long time
