    - Stance Bar

FAQ
Q: How do i access the Configuration?
A: You can open the configuration with the Slash Commands (/bt or /bartender) or through the Bartender4 LDB plugin.

Q: Can Bartender4 import settings from Bartender3?
A: No. Those two mods are too different to be able to import settings.

Q: Where are my keybindings? And how do i bind new keys?
A: BT3 Keybindings will not be ported over either, you have to use the new KeyBound to re-bind your keys. You can access KeyBound by its slash command (/kb) or through the button in the BT4 config. Hover a button, press key → voila!

Q: CyCircled Support? I like my button skins?
A: No reason to cry! There is a sparkling new skinning addon/library out there! ButtonFacade is way easier to work with as a action-bar author, and its easier to write skins for it too! Alot of cyCircled Skins have already been ported to ButtonFacade, and more are on their way! After installing ButtonFacade just use its configuration to change the skin of the BT4 buttons (/bf)

Q: How do i disable the snapping of the bars?
A: Currently, you can temporarily override the snapping by holding down the Shift Key while moving your bars, or uncheck the option in the popup when your bars are unlocked.

No, FuBar has been replaced, and FuBar plugins are getting old. We switched to LibDataBroker now, which is a generic display framework. Common display addons include Fortress and ButtonBin, i think you can find some of those here on WoWI too

I've posted this on the WoW UI & Macros forum and my realm forum but I rarely if ever get any answers to my addon questions on the main forums so I figued I would try here as well.

I need to set up button paging. On my old hunter I had it set up in such a way that there was a toggle key to switch one of my action bars from my ranged stings to melee. BT4 has a custom paging conditionals option and I was wondering if it's possible to set paging on toggle instead of holding down a specific key the entire time as this keeps one hand more or less busier than I'd like.

Is this possible? If so, what do I need to put into my conditional box to get this set up?

There is only one problem I have with this over Bartender3. Actually, make that two.

1) The snapping bars is really annoying me. Is relative and absolute bar positioning going to be implemented like it was in Bartender3?

That really was a great help. Currently, I have some bars snapping into each other, when I don't want them to!

2) I miss Cooldowncount. Been using OmniCC since the patch, and I really don't like it as much as Cooldowncount. The icons are only ever one size so on a big button they are perfect, but on a small one they are too big!

Any chance of having Cooldowncount support added to this? =D

Other than those two things, its great.

Are there any plans of adding the dreamlayout back to bartender 4. I love it so much

That too! Being able to use DreamLayout in Bartender is TOTALLY different to the DreamLayout in ButtonFacade. I used to use DreamLayour in Bartender3, with cyCircled skinning in LiteStep.

Now if I skin with DreamLayout, it looks crap. So I skin with LiteStep. But yes, having DreamLayout in Bartender4 would be amazing ^^

Very nice action bar mod. If I may make a suggestion, and option to combine the XP/Rep bar into one would be nice with the ability to toggle the XP or Rep.

Button goes black on mouseover

When playing my warrior and I mouse over buttons on Bar 1 the icon goes black and obscures the button tooltip. Have tried changing a few settings but can't seem to work it out, doesn't happen on my druid or hunter tho.

Grrr

Only trouble I occasionally have run into on this addon is that when I move around the configuration menu, it occasionally moves higher than I intended, making it hard to drag it back down from the top of my screen.

Until now, I've always been able to get it back down... now I'm stuck with the config menu at the top of the screen, making it very hard to customize the screen itself. Perhaps you could include a /barreset command that would put the config menu back to centered in the screen?

Or possibly even make the config menu movable from anywhere, as opposed to just the very top of the menu?

Hello,

I have a question: is it possible to fade out the action bars (ex: 50% alpha), but then have the action bars change back to 100% when you enter combat / use a spell on the corresponding set?

Thank you.

Please add xpbar and repbar to default reset code

Nice job on Bartender 4, I'm enjoying your work immensely.

I was jostled while moving the xp bar, and as a result the xp bar was pushed out of the viewable area. Resetting the profile resulted in all of the bars moving back to the starting position except for the xp and rep bars. I browsed through the lua's and found the problem, but I wasn't able to modify your code satisfactorily.

The code that resets the positions of the action bars to default simply does not mention the rep and xp bars.

Please add the xp and rep bars to the reset code.

Thank you for considering my request. And again, thank you for the solid coding and good workmanship that you put into Bartender 4.

Warmest regards,
Dolf, GM of Super Ninja Death Squad on Arygos

More Bars!!!

Please Make more bars...I have tried every bar mod out there and bartender is by far the most stable but doesn't offer enough bars. 5 extra would be awesome. I like having everything at a click ....I know 50 people that are mad at Trinitys designer and you would make them very happy and myself.

please please please more bars!!!!!!

You have the ability to use 10 bars, of 12 buttons each.

Ouch.

Loujitsu:

Until the Author responds to your post, here is a workaround for your request for additional bars.

There is already support for 10 action bars of 12 buttons; please be sure that action bars 7 to 10 are enabled in the /bt config screen.

Please note that any patch will erase the modification that follows. Unfortunately, I cannot support or assist you in any way. So you can try this but (realistically) it would be best to leave it alone.

Be sure you save a backup of the Author's original file as, say, ActionBars.lua.bak. Restore this backup file if you have any problems.

That said, it's relatively straightforward to add more bars. Search for and open ActionBars.lua, and scroll down until you find the following code:

DEFAULT CODE:

-- setup the 10 actionbars
local first = true
function BT4ActionBars:OnEnable()
if first then
self.playerclass = select(2, UnitClass("player"))
self.actionbars = {}

for i=1,10 do

(and then there is code that sets up the action bars)

Change the 10's that are present in this snippet of code to 15's, like so:

MODIFIED CODE:

-- setup the 15 actionbars
local first = true
function BT4ActionBars:OnEnable()
if first then
self.playerclass = select(2, UnitClass("player"))
self.actionbars = {}

for i=1,15 do

Now go through the rest of the file and change all the
for i=1,10
to
for i=1,15
and change the button setup from
for i=1,120
to
for i=1,180

Bear in mind that 'reset to default' module won't reset the new bars (like it doesn't reset the XP and rep bars). Additionally, certain details that the Author put into the code for the first 10 bars will not be present; for example, the new bars will start out stacked in the center rather than neatly arrayed as the other bars are.

This post is already excessive so I trust you to chase down any other minor coding details.

Regards,
Dolf, GM of Super Ninja Death Squad on Arygos

Tested and confirmed: Bartender4 interferes with the new focused cast key found in interface options. The old self-cast key function found in the same interface page works. The new focused cast key does not. Disabling bartender4 resolves the problem, fix needed!
