Cellular is an instant messenger mod (for only whispers) based on the functionality of an old version of ForgottenChat.

How to Use:

"/cellular", check Interface Options->AddOns, or right-click a window for options
Left-click a window to toggle the editbox
Left-click a tab to activate it
Shift-left-click and drag a window to move
Shift-left-click and drag bottom-right corner to resize
Right-click a tab for show/close/options dropdown
Middle-click a tab to close
Hold ctrl and close any window/tab to quick remove from history
Several convenient buttons (some require shift clicking for confirmation reasons)

Warnings:

If you have history enabled and notice that Cellular is using a lot of memory, you should cleanup your history entries using Cellular's history options.
If you're experiencing crashing due to memory errors, disable and clear your history.
If you cherish your history, you can back up the saved variables file and then delete it. You can view it in any text editor later. The location of the saved variables file is here:
...\WTF\Account\<Account Name>\<Server Name>\<Character Name>\SavedVariables\Cellular.lua

harl A Murloc Raider Forum posts: 4 File comments: 84 Uploads: 2	I pretty much like Cellular as it is, yet, an (optional) shift-click button to report a message as spam or, respectively, its sender as a spammer/bot, would be very nice really, since for some reason right-clicking names just brings up the edit-box for me instead of the common context menu (this isn't Cellular's fault at all, but I went through most of my add-ons that I'd suspect to maybe cause this and couldn't find out which one it is). Maybe such a button could even be made aware of SpamSentry?

I deleted all of my saved variables for Cellular with the latest install, so I don't think that's it. The running it by itself issue is a bit trickier. I have run it by itself and it doesn't cause any crashes on reload. Here is my basic test procedure: Load bare minimum with Cellular. Test by reloading 5 times. Enable 5 or so more addons. Test again. Rinse Repeat. Eventually, I reach a point where the client begins to crash on a reload. It doesn't matter which addons I re-enable or in what order, it only matters that I have re-enabled them. If I disable cellular the crashes stop. I'm afraid all I have is circumstantial evidence.

Is your whisper history huge? It may not be Cellular alone causing this; maybe enabling Cellular puts you over your memory limit, or something. Try running Cellular by itself or deleting its saved variables.

Unfortunately, I've been having a problem with it. My WoW client randomly crashes to the desktop whenever I have Cellular enabled and I reload my UI using '/script ReloadUI()'. My client had been crashing for sometime (I suppose when I started using Cellular pre WotLK). With the release of WotLK I did a mod audit so to speak in an effort to trace the crashes. The crashes went away after I uninstalled Celluar. Recently, I decided to give Cellular another try to see if the issue cleared up. It has not. I understand this is a tough one for you since I can't consistently reproduce the error and the error messages I can provide you are largely meaningless. For the sake of thoroughness: Code: This application has encountered a critical error: ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal Exception Program: D:\World of Warcraft\Wow.exe Exception: 0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 001B:0071F18B The instruction at "0x0071F18B" referenced memory at "0x00021000". The memory could not be "written". This application has encountered a critical error: Not enough storage is available to process this command. Program: D:\World of Warcraft\Wow.exe File: .\src\lmemPool.cpp Line: 311 Requested 3232 bytes of memory I can only assume that it is related to the event mechanics of a UI reload as opposed to those of a new login. I know on a UI reload that certain events don't fire and others fire at unexpected times. I suspect this is where the issue lies.

That's being kinda picky, but I'm guessing you want to increase the number of days. I've increased it from 4 weeks to 6 weeks in the latest version. Or am I not understanding you correctly? Cellular doesn't automatically clear old data; it's a manual option.

Oh yeah, that is way overdue. Keep forgetting to do that. Done in the latest version.
