Neuron  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.4.18
by: Soyier, Maul

Neuron development is on an indefinite hiatus upon the launch of WoW 10.0. If you are interested in helping with development efforts to push the project forward into Dragonflight, please reach out to Soyier.

Introduction:
Neuron is a full featured action Bar addon for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands

Important Note: Neuron tentatively works with World of Warcraft: Classic and The Burning Crusade: Classic, but none of our developers actively play Classic, so support and bug fixes are offered without any guarantee. Realistically, many bugs in Classic require max level characters to debug, and none of us have any such characters. Outside help with Classic is always welcome!

Example:

Theme Support:
Neuron inherits all theming courtesy of the Masque addon. Neuron has full Masque compatibility, and the theming options found in Masque are quite in-depth, not to mention the robust portfolio of skins made to support Masque. In short, you can make your bars look any way you like!

Features:
  • Neuron features an unlimited number of macros. You can create as many bars/buttons as you want/need per character!
  • Are you a clicker extraordinaire? As many buttons on the screen you want where you want, when you want!
  • Macros the size of Texas! Up to 1024 characters in length!
  • Maul's unique mouse-over key-binding system - where the mouse-over binding system was born!
  • Many other of the favorite desired bar addon features and then some!
  • And, last but not least, MASQUE support!

Graphical Editor:
Neuron contains a graphical bar editor that allows for nearly endless customization to bar shape, size, orientation, and much more! Further, Neuron has neither the limitations on max number of bars nor on the max number of buttons per bar, as you might find in addons such as Bartender4 or Dominoes.

Disclaimer:

Neuron is a fork of the amazing Ion Action Bars addon started by Connor Chenoweth aka Maul, for World of Warcraft Legion and onwards. All credit for the bulk of this addon should go to him accordingly, along with SLOKnightFall for his maintainership throughout the years. I, Soyier, take no credit for the idea or implementation of this addon prior to my adoption of the code in the Fall quarter of 2017.

I was considering Bartender out of desperation. Didn't like those bars at all though. I also considered going full on Weak Auras. Like some of the setups they have for each class. I guess I could break down and put weak auras on for all of my 120's. All 30 or so of them.....

Did I mention burnout? Honestly, to be truthful, I'm a wow addict. Hi, my name is Frank (not really), this is my first meeting of the wow addicts group. Do you guys have coffee someplace?

I am not advocating this is what needs to be done going forward, just conveying what the functionality was at one point. I have translated most of the previous functionality into weak auras of my design.

It would be nice to get at least a target dot tracker, but I'll leave that up to the developer and community feedback.

Thanks again for all the hard work on the add-on.

It only showed the DOT of the current target. If I switched target it would show the time left of any DOTs I had put on the current target.

For the dots that are cast I seen no text/numbers showing the dot counting down on the Neuron buttons so that I know when I need to refresh it.

After actually playing some last night I realized the cooldown timers are working fine. It's the dot timers that are not working.

I've tried resetting the Cvars among other things to fix this issue. Image below. Cooldown timers are working. Dot timers are not. In this case on this warlock it is the right most spells in the inner semi circle (agony and unstable affliction). All other addons were disabled for this image.

Neuron used to have a feature where it would show aura cooldown timers, but it was horribly broken. It may not have seemed it, but it truly was. I can try to add in something though.

Some things "ARE" showing cooldown timers such as haunt. But dots like agony, corruption, and unstable affliction are not. Seems like the long term dots are working (purely anecdotal perspective here) but short term are not. This is happening on my priest also, didn't look past these two toons however.

Anybody have any thoughts or similar experience? I'm honestly suffering Wow grind fatigue and could take a few months off but the wife was pretty persistent this morning. Sooo....
Like the ability itself doesn't show the cooldown on the frame?

I just read that 8.2 is coming out in a few days, so my immediate goal is to make sure y'all have day one support. Granted, I'll have to get the patch and test it first. So if they're any breakages they will be fixed in those first few release hours, you can count on it!

In my personal life, things are moving around. I'm in the last year of my PhD now and I was just voted to the Board of Directors for the nonprofit that I'm a part of. These have taken up a bunch of my time the last couple weeks, and I haven't done much WoW anything. I was also pretty bored of 8.1.5 content
I don't know where you find the time, holy crap! Congrats on all your achievements. Well earned. And thanks for keeping Neuron alive and progressing!

What's the checkmark at the top left for?
I tried it on both the left and the right, and I just generally liked the look of it more on the right. It just felt a bit cluttered on the left.

Yeah right now the list is just the way the order is in the BARIndex table, and that's just the order that the bars loaded. It would make sense to sort by name. And I'll see if there's a more obvious selection indicator in the ACE3 framework

What check mark on the top left?

1.1.5 had the issue 1.1.6 had the fix
Well... that's unfortunate. Any chance it was a simple code fix that I can do myself manually?
What's wrong with 1.16a exactly? Maybe I can just fix that instead. You also can go to the 1.14 build which may avoid that bug.

Fixed the keybind priority regression. Grab 1.1.6b when it's out
