Features -

  • Every button in Macaroon is a macro button by default and in many ways they behave like normal action buttons. Buttons can also be set to be "action" or "pet" buttons.
Commands -
  • Type /ion to display a list of available commands, which are:
menu: Toggle the main menu
storage: Open the button storage area
create: Create a blank bar
delete: Delete the currently selected bar
config: Toggle configuration mode for all bars
add: Adds buttons to the currently selected bar (add or add #)
remove: Removes buttons from the currently selected bar (remove or remove #)
edit: Toggle edit mode for all buttons
bind: Toggle binding mode for all buttons
scale: Scale a bar to the desired size.
snapto: Toggle SnapTo for current bar
autohide: Toggle AutoHide for current bar
shape: Change current bar's shape
name: Change current bar's name
strata: Change current bar's frame strata
alpha: Change current bar's alpha (transparency)
alphaup: Set current bar's conditions to 'alpha up'
arcstart: Set current bar's starting arc location (in degrees)
arclen: Set current bar's arc length (in degrees)
columns: Set the number of columns for the current bar
padh: Set current bar's horizontal padding
padv: Set current bar's vertical padding
padhv: Adjust both horizontal and vertical padding of the current bar incrementally
showgrid: Toggle the current bar's showgrid flag
x: Change current bar's horizontal axis position
y: Change current bar's vertical axis position
state: Toggle states for the current bar (/mac state <state>). Type /mac statelist for vaild states
statelist: Print a list of valid states

It should be working, so if it is not, it's a bug. I will look into it. However, do you happen to have any of the modifier-drag buttons checked?

love how the addon is comming along atm but i have one small problem

no matter what i do or what options i enable,i cant seem to lock the buttons on the bars i created

i randomly drag off a button on the bar i created because i cant seem to lock the bar

is there a way i can do that? am i just missing something? i tried lockin the bar through the default ui action bar and the mac menu option(enable button lock) and had no luck

is this a bug or something thats just not implemented?

Phanx has got it right.

I am currently not planning on including a skinning engine in Macaroon and want to see how well things work out with Button Facade.

Currently, I am not sure either way. I will need to figure out a way to test it out to see if I can get that desired effect.

The button shapes in TrinityBars were provided by skins. Macaroon doesn't include its own skinning engine, but uses ButtonFacade. Download that, and then find a round, hexagonal, diamond-shaped, or borderless skins. I think the Trinity skins are even available as a ButtonFacade skin package somewhere...

I changed things up a bit in Macaroon. There is a new shape called "Linear" which encompasses the old "horizontal, vertical and multi-column" shapes. Simply set the shape to "Linear" and then change the number of columns to "1"

Vertical Bars

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but every time I try to make a bar vertical it goes to the circle shape. Tried doing /mac shape 2 for vertical but still a no go. Just wanted to report that to see if it's a bug or if I'm just screwing something up lol.

Generally, it is because people want it. Most bar addons hide the Blizz main bar, which of course, also has the XP bar. And when people get to arranging buttons, they don't want the cast bar in the way, so they ask the bar addon author to add a feature to help with that

With regard to cast bars and the XP/rep bar, I think there are enough standalone cast bar and XP/rep bar addons that you probably don't need to worry about it. I'm not sure why so many actionbar addons feel the need to include a cast bar addon too, when the cast bar really isn't part of the main bar even in the default UI.

Yes there will be. What I have done is created an auxiliary addon called MacaroonXtras, which I will upload when I upload the next version of Macaroon.

Those xtra non-action bars always gave me a headache programming-wise in Trinity Bars. Sometimes I would change something for the regular button bars and it would blow up the bag/menu bars. So in Macaroon I just threw them into another addon, like TrinityXp and Trinity Castbars. And so far it has been working very well. MacaroonXtras is not compatilble with previous Macaroon versions, so I have not uploaded it yet.

As far as XP/Cast bars I am still deciding on what I am going to do with those.
