Features -

i had some problem on my DK last night.
i have set up the different stages for my mainbar....normal and posess.
i tried the posess state on the DK starter quests where you take control over the orb and my mainbar switched fine.

later i did an instance on my 80 DK and when i die i go into ghoul form.
the mainbar switched but all buttons been blank.
if i go into button edit, my posess state bar shows "pet ID1, pet ID2" etc.
is this the right way to set it up ?

oh yeah and /mac create menu doesnt create anything ?

Direct spell binding was not removed, just moved into a supplemental addon for those who don't want all the extra stuff.

I wish you the best of luck in finding addons for your needs I would recommend Dominos from what is out there.

Yeah, this is a nagging "bug". If all loads fine from session to session, then you never see this happen. However, if loading errors out in the wrong place at the wrong time, the saved settings get nuked. A few versions ago I put in some "protection" of the saved data, but it seems it was not enough. I still experience these data "wipes" on my side. But only because I make a simple syntax error in coding that fouls the whole loading process. Hopefully, the versions I put out will have no such loading issues and the end user will never see this happen. But I am still working on wrapping my mind around exactly what is going on during loading that would cause all saved data to reset.

/mac menu or Ctrl-Click the minimap button. In the main menu, topleft option

Stances/Forms have been pretty solid for the most part since I added them. I will spec my druid moonkin and test things out, though.

pre-emptive question

I haven't yet started to try and configure this on PTR, and with 3.0.x probably only days away - enquiring minds need to know.

As a Moonkin player, I had always found the best way to get all the stances and stealth mode working on the main bar was to build it in the blizzard default ui first and import it into Trinity.

Are forms/stances/stealth modes behaving in Macaroon or am I going to be fighting it? On PTR using the default import I am getting odd "you must be in Cat Form" when I try to use an ability (button 11) on my Caster form bar if I haven't shifted yet since log in.

I have faith this will be awesome once it's all working, keep up the great work. Just let me know if the first few days/weeks will be rocky.

This is something I have pondered over time. Do I auto-populate the bar with buttons? do I put in an option to toggle that kind of feature? do I just leave it the way it is?

I have not come to a satisfactory answer on that, though I am all ears

The thing that holds me back is that what is different about Macaroon from other bar addons is that each button is totally unique and independent. Other bar addons appear to "swap" bars, but really they are just changing the button data to new data.

When in Macaroon and you "swap" bars, you are actually swapping one set of frames for another. Why is that important? Well, that means that each frame created has to hold unique data and must be processed if conditions call for it. If I were to force users to produce buttons for each state they defined, they might end up with a bunch of unused buttons taking up system resources.

Now, it is not quite in Macaroon yet, but there will be a means to manage those extra buttons. But I am just wary of assuming users want so many buttons and lean to the side of "let the user define their setup".
