setup

hey sorry this is probably posted somewhere else in the 4000+ posts but....
how would I set up a bar1 so that it mimics blizzard default bar1 completely, I know i could set up a stanced bar and have action ids 1-12 but will that stance properly to allow me to set the action ids for moonkin/catform etc and will it work for vehicles? I tried to set it up but I guess at least that I could find there is no way to combine paged and stanced? any help would be greatly appreciated

and another question I know Dwargh was nice enough to make this before and thank you Dwargh but is it built into this version where I can assign alpha per state? so i can have a bar either custom or not I'm not really picky but say I have alt and ctrl modifiers, while nothing is pushed the bar will be hidden and when I press alt I can see the bar or when I press control I can see the bar?

also is it possible to have the aura watch highlight work on target or mouse over? if i have my buffs on there i want to know if its on somebody else not me lol... when i have them as target anyway when no target me it should be

thanks

And as to your edit yes I could agree except I have never had a problem like this with macaroon since its release its never been a problem dragging macro's from blizzards book. I assumed macaroon just converted the macro being dragged into a macaroon style macro. seem with this bug though its changing it to an action ID.
Most of the time it will convert it to a macro sometimes it won't. I also find that it will sometimes convert spells to macros.

I've run into your issue before and thats how I fixed it.

EDIT: also what I think is happening is that even though you made the one bar all macros, when you drag a macro from the blizz macro menu onto it, it turns back into an action ID because techinally that what it is. I do believe that the macro option for the buttons is just for macaroon macros.

I have 2 action bars one all set to macro status which I drag skills on to and one macro at the end of it the "focus macro" in the blizz macro book, which I drag on to the bar.

the 2nd action bar is all action buttons with ID's 1 - 12. on ID 2 I want to put the dismount macro again which I drag from the blizz macro book.

When I drag the dismount on to action ID 2 everythings fine. BUT as soon as I try to drag the /focus macro/icon from the book onto the 1st macaroon bar (Which is all macro buttons) then the button its being dropped onto (which was in macro state) gets change to Action state with button ID 2. Which is the same ID as the dismount macro button.

So I end up with 2 dismount buttons and nothing else. If I reset one back to macro state and drag the focus macro on to it again it reverts back to Action state ID 2 again.

is this any clearer. Basically I have 2 buttons that will not change from action ID 2 status.

i am not sure i understand what you meant by that, but it sounds like you mean that you've tried setting up these buttons as macaroon macros, skipping the blizzard macro setup altogether.

the only way i could see them reverting back, is if (after the macros were set up in the macaroon buttons) you were trying to change the buttons back from being macaroon macro buttons, to action ID buttons.

i can't see why you'd be doing that, though, seeing as once those macros are set up in the macaroon buttons, the setup is complete, meaning changing them to action ID buttons now undoes all the work you just did.

or, did i just misunderstand what you said? if that's the case, then please explain this bug in more detail.

I drag the /focus macro to a seperate bar set all set to "macro" status.

this then changes both buttons to "action ID 2" ... so it shows 2 of the same macro either the dismount one or the focus one. Macaroon will not save the seperate states. and repeatedly sets them both to Action ID 2, and the two buttons will not work in macro state and keep reverting to "action ID 2".
its not always with action ID 2 per se but can be with any action id number.
Is there any fix or work around for this problem?

flyout macro question

is it possible to creat a flyout macro with spells? What I'm trying to do is make a flyout macro for my shields but all I get is just water shield. This is what I have

/flyout spell+:"Water Shield,Earth Shield,Lightning Shield":linear:right:left:6:click

EDIT: I figured it out, for each spell you have to put the ~ before it also the + isn't needed.

for both bars and they should go back to the middle of the screen.
Ok so I thought this was going to solve it, but however, now that I've created these Alert Bars, the loot windows where you click greed or need still don't show up. I can confirm that the bars are created and indeed have 4 buttons in Alert Bar 1 as I see it when I enter config mode with Macaroon.

So as of right now, I can see the windows in config mode, but no other time. I cannot roll on loot as they still won't appear (despite being present) and I have to leave this mod turned off while running anything.

Anything else I can try?

all my profiles are missing

I just dual specced my mage, set up my bars, and went to save my newly created profile. I was shocked to see "No Saved Profiles" on the menu. In a bit of a panic, I went to my warrior and found his current bars to be accurate, but again, in the profiles menu "No Saved Profiles." So now I have no saved profiles for any of my dual specced toon

1. Is there any way to recover my lost profiles?

2. If not, I will go through remaking all of them... but I would like to start backing up my saved profiles. What file should I be backing up to cover all my saved profiles?

Sorry if this has already been covered. I have been searching for some solution for a while now. Thank you.

Does the Vehicle and possess bars have actionIDs starting from 121?
If there is only 1 button, "Bite", available then it should be on actionID:121 as Blizzard tends to start from there with abilities in Vehicle and Possess state.

Same here with my Druid - it's not behaving in any kind of predictable manner.

You are just missing the General and Advanced tab in the ButtonEditor
